The Yamaha Venova YVS-100 is a new product from Yamaha, a new concept in musical instruments. It belongs to the woodwind family. Although it's not categorized as a saxophone or recorder, it's a hybrid of both.
It's something completely new, offering the expressiveness of a simple reed instrument along with very quick-to-learn fingering, similar to a recorder/saxophone. Its maintenance is easier than other wind instruments because it's made of synthetic material and isn't as delicate as a wooden instrument can be.
It's considered a compact, lightweight, easy-to-learn musical instrument that you can use anywhere. The Yamaha Venova YVS-100 comes with all the necessary materials: mouthpiece, cap, ligature, reed, cleaning cloth, and carrying case. In general, the Venova does not require tuning. The instrument is designed to play in A = 442 Hz when the mouthpiece is fully inserted into the instrument.
