NX Electroacoustic Nylon: A Spectacular Selection!
Combining contemporary design with meticulous attention to detail, the NX Series offers the playing comfort and feel of an authentic classical guitar in a modern instrument.
The NX series includes two product lines: the NCX guitars, with a classic-style fretboard, neck shape, and body thickness, and the NTX range, with a thinner body, narrower neck, and neck-to-body join at the 14th fret.
The ART system perfectly captures the warm, resonant timbre, bringing the unmistakable sound of nylon strings to a variety of musical genres, from Latin to jazz, pop to rock.
Our ART pickup system is used in several of our steel-string guitars and has received high acclaim for its superb sound quality, incredible dynamics, and exceptional feedback rejection. Our engineers designed the ART System 61 specifically for the NX Series to faithfully reproduce the sound and dynamics of nylon strings. Combining a number of exclusive technologies, the ART System allows the NX Series the versatility to adapt to many playing styles, from fingerstyle to pick to percussive flamenco, while preserving the guitar's natural sound.
Newly developed contact pad
A conventional contact pickup mounted under the saddle vibrates freely, allowing the full natural sound of the body to be picked up. However, it can pick up too much sound from the body and generate feedback, making positioning difficult.
In contrast, the ART system on the NX series guitars uses a multi-layer damper to absorb excessive vibrations and control feedback. System 61 features two pickups mounted on the high and low end of the guitar, each with its own control, giving the NX series guitars flexibility in shaping their sound.
Newly developed preamplifier system
Complementing the warm, midrange-rich sound characteristic of nylon-string guitars, the System 61 preamp utilizes cutting-edge Yamaha technology to deliver a wide, controllable tonal range, making the NX sound perfect for any gig and playing style.
The preamp features individual volume controls for each pickup, providing a completely natural sound with solid bass and clear highs. The built-in 3-band EQ allows for extensive sound shaping possibilities, and it also includes a tuner that's extremely useful during performances.
